London, June 14 (ANI): The Duchess of Cambridge, who is due to give birth in July, has conducted her last solo public engagement on Thursday.
Kate attended a ship naming ceremony for a new cruise ship during a ceremony in Southampton.
She became godmother of the 'Royal Princess' after smashing a bottle of champagne into its hull, Sky News reported.
The Duchess, who is eight months pregnant, also boarded the ship for a brief tour.
The royal was seen wearing a black and white coat as she arrived in Southampton by helicopter from London and took her place on a stage in blustery conditions.
Guests included people associated with charities of which Kate, Prince William and Prince Harry are patrons.
Although it is reported that the event was the 31-year-old royal's last solo engagement, she is set to attend Trooping the Colour on Saturday. (ANI)
