The Indian cricket team pulled off one of the best victories in the history of Test cricket. They beat the Australians by 75 runs on day four of the second Test and leveled the four-match series 1-1 at Bangalore on Tuesday .
The Indians were playing catch up cricket after being bundled out for 189 runs in the first innings until Chesteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane’s 118-run partnership in the second innings helped the home side post a target of 188 runs for Australia.
The match was evenly poised when Australia were batting at 74/4 in the second innings on day four, but then Ravichandran Ashwin unleashed himself and ran through the lower order.
Ashwin ended up with figures of six for 41 runs and the Baggy Greens were all out for 112 runs.
