People protest after police recover mutilated body of a minor girl in Bhopal

Bhopal, Feb. 5 (ANI): Locals took to streets in Bhopal on Tuesday after the local police recovered a mutilated body of an eight-year-old girl near the residence of the state Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta.

The girl had gone missing on Sunday evening, after she went to the Bhopal fest, and her parents had lodged a missing complaint with the police.

Raju, a relative of the deceased minor girl, said the police buried the body without informing the family.

"We received information that the girl has been raped and his body is mutilated. His mutilated body parts were not found. We were asked to reach the hospital but we did not find the dead body in the hospital. We then went to the police station, where the girl's father told us that the body has been buried. How can they bury the body without informing the family members?" asked Raju.

The police are suspecting the rape of the minor before murder and a special investigation team has been formed to probe the case. (ANI)
