Islamabad, Apr 18 (ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has submitted a bid to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host the 2018 World Cup, according to the board's chairman Mohammad Zaka Ashraf.
Stating that the matter has also been forwarded to the Cricket Governing Body, Ashraf further said that that talks were held with some more countries to woo them to Pakistan but added that there was no progress, The News reports.
Meanwhile, Ashraf said that banned cricketers Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt will have to complete their punishment before the cricket board considered their future.
Ashraf also said that sentencing and banning such players will be an example for others. (ANI)
