PCB to send 10 former cricket legends to India during December tour

Islamabad, Nov. 3 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will send ten former cricket legends to India on the occasion of the Pakistan cricket team's tour of India in December.

The decision was taken by a PCB executive coordination committee under the chairmanship of Mohammad Zaka Asrhaf, the Daily Times reports.

"The committee decided to invite the legends of Pakistan cricket to witness the matches between India and Pakistan. These players will be goodwill ambassadors for Pakistan cricket and can help in improving the cricketing relations between the two countries. It was decided to invite two players for each venue," a PCB spokesperson said.

According to the paper, Hanif Mohammad, Imtiaz Ahmad, Majid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Mushtaq Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Burki, Wasim Bari, Intikhab Alam and Sadiq Mohammad are the players who will be sent from Pakistan to India.

"The committee members hoped that this tour will bring both the cricketing nations closer and will play an important role in strengthening the future relations between both the countries," the spokesman added.

The committee also appreciated the efforts of PCB chairman Ashraf for making this tour a reality as the bilateral cricketing relations between India and Pakistan remained suspended for five years, the paper said. (ANI)
