Pakistan's middle-order shines in six-wicket victory over Windies in fourth ODI

Islamabad, July 22 (ANI): Pakistan's middle-order batsmen led their team to victory in the fourth one-day international in a five match series with West Indies in the Caribbean, as inclement weather had the match decided by the Duckworth Lewis method in St Lucia on Sunday.

According to The Dawn, in a match already reduced to 49 overs-per-side and after Marlon Samuels blazed an unbeaten 106 in the home team's total of 261 for seven, Pakistan were set a revised target of 189 off 31 overs as a second shower of the day interrupted play when they were 68 for two off 17 overs.

Half-centuries from Mohammad Hafeez and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq made Pakistan reach their target with one over to spare, the report said.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq said in the post-math conference that the match was like a T20 game for them when they came back to play after the rain. (ANI)
