The first session of the second Day’s play between Pakistan and West Indies has been washed out due to wet outfield. There was torrential rain overnight in Kingston but the ground staff had inadequate covers on the pitch which resulted in wet pitch on the second morning. Reportedly the water seeped in through the covers on the pitch resulting the bowler’s run-up area getting wet. The ground staff used the coal therapy on the wet areas. Moreover, a segment of the outfield has been left especially damp despite a significant improvement in the weather with bright, breezy conditions later in the morning.
