Pakistan confident ahead of cricket tie against India

Colombo, Sept 29 (ANI): Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeez on Saturday expressed confidence ahead of crucial Super Eight cricket tie against India.

Addressing a press conference here, Hafeez added that Pakistan's victory over India in the warm-up game will add to the confidence of the side.

"We are not taking pressure, especially in this tournament. The boys are showing great character. They are taking every game positively. Their approach is great. The boys are responding well under pressure. Everybody is looking forward to the game against India. We won the warm up game, so that will give us confidence. Plus we are playing good cricket in the tournament, so that will boost the confidence of players. We are taking one game at a time," he said.

Asked to comment on the possible team combination for the match against India, Hafeez said that it would depend on the pitch and ground conditions.

"I think the conditions are suitable for spinners, but we will see the pitch tomorrow. India has a good batting line up. The plan might be different, we will have to see," he added. By Praful Kumar Singh (ANI)
