Pak parliament passes second resolution criticizing ceasefire violation on LoC

Islamabad, Aug. 22 (ANI): The Pakistan Parliament has passed another anti-India resolution over the unprovoked firing on the Line of Control (LOC) which led to the death of an officer and wounded another soldier on Wednesday.

A unanimous resolution was passed in a session of the National Assembly against the Indian army condemning the cross border firing and asking to hold a dialogue, the Express Tribune reports.

There were reports of firing across border in the Batal, Nakyal areas near Skardu on Wednesday night.

The Pakistan Army has claimed that Captain Sarfaraz was killed and a soldier was wounded by the senseless firing.

India and Pakistan had agreed to a ceasefire along the LoC in November 2003.

However, there have been many instances of ceasefire violations from both sides leading to several deaths and strained relations between the two nations since then. (ANI)
