Oz to recall 'big guns' Clarke, Warner and Wade for rest of ODI series against Lanka

Sydney, Jan 14(ANI): Australia is set to recall Michael Clarke, explosive opener David Warner and wicketkeeper Mathew Wade for the remaining games of the ongoing one-day series against Sri Lanka following their eight-wicket loss in Adelaide on Sunday.

Coach Mickey Arthur confirmed that Clarke, Wade and Warner would be back in the limited-over squad for the Brisbane ODI alongside left-handed pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson after sitting out of the initial two one-day matches, News.com.au reports.

Arthur added that though Starc and Johnson could have played in the Adelaide ODI, but it was not worth the risk, as the stakes weren't that high.

Johnson was forced out from the game because of a side-strain injury and Starc was withdrawn from the victorious series-opening in Melbourne last Friday because of soreness in the calf.

Wade will take the spot of wicketkeeper Brad Haddin, who was forced from the field on Sunday with a hamstring strain and Warner appears set to tip Aaron Finch from opening the batting, with Finch making just 20 runs in the initial two one-days. (ANI)
