London, Aug 20 (ANI): The English media has claimed that Australia's lack of a performing No.3 player is one of the reasons why the team is facing a tough time in the Ashes.
According to The Guardian, the Australia of old had Don Bradman, Ian Chappell and Greg Chappell as some of the stalwarts on the position, along with later players David Boon and Ricky Ponting, but now there seemed to be an issue.
The report said that the current lot of Ed Cowan, Usman Khawaja and Philip Hughes was not up to the mark.
On the other hand, England had a great No.3 in the form of Ian Bell and it was hard to say the same for any Australian No.3 at the moment. (ANI)
