Nawaz Sharif says Malala is Pakistan's pride

Islamabad, Oct. 12 (ANI): Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Malala Yousafzai, the education activist who was targeted by Taliban last year, is pride of the nation.

Sharif said Malala was an asset for the country as she had made the nation proud at every forum and she was a role model for the young generation, the Daily Times reports.

Malala was awarded the Sakharov human rights prize by the European Parliament on Thursday and has got worldwide praises for standing up for the right of education of all children, irrespective of caste, gender and nationality. (ANI)
