Murder bid on Bengal Congress leader

Kolkata, July 16 (IANS) Congress leader and union minister Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury Tuesday escaped unhurt after several bullets were fired and a crude bomb was hurled at him during a party campaign in West Bengal's Malda district, the party alleged.

An officer of the Kalichak police station, under which the incident allegedly occurred, said they have received a complaint and were looking into it.
