Easy win for Mumbai, Pujara smashes 269 for Saurashtra

Cheteshwar Pujara scored 269 for Saurashtra as they drew with Tamil NaduChasing 530 for victory, Vidharbha were bowled out for 191 on day four of the Group A fixture at the Wankhede stadium. Shardul Thakur was the most successful bowler for Mumbai taking 4/48.

Resuming from their overnight score of 177/8, Shrikant Wagh (41) could only watch as Mumbai completed the win by 338 runs. Zaheer Khan’s team now lead Group A with 19 points, three ahead of Punjab.

In Cuttack,  Karnataka defeated Odisha by four wickets. Chasing 130 for victory, CM Gautam’s team were reduced to 109/6 before Kunal Kapoor (11*) and Abrar Kazi (16*) steadied the ship to guide their side to victory.

In a Group B encounter, Cheteshwar Pujara (269) smashed his ninth double century as Saurashtra drew with Tamil Nadu at the M.A Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk. Pujara’s effort took his side to 581/6, helping them overhaul TN’s first innings total of 565/8.
