Mumbai Police arrest Pune bookie

Had links with D-gang members and bookies in Pakistan.



Mumbai, June 3 (ANI): Mumbai Police have arrested Pune-based bookie Kishore Lalchand Badlani alias Kesu Pune at Mumbai airport.

Badlani was reportedly in constant touch with D-gang members and bookies in Pakistan.

Earlier, two officials from the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) were due to meet jailed cricketer S. Sreesanth in Delhi on Monday.

"The officials are Sreejith Nair is a criminal lawyer by profession and the Alappuzha district secretary of the KCA, and the other represents the district (Ernakulam) from which Sreesanth hails," KCA secretary T. C. Mathew.

Meanwhile, the court had also extended the police custody of Pune-based bookies Dinesh Sharma and Kishore Pablani till June 6. Prosecutor Sheikh said police wanted information from both of them about co-accused Badlani.
