Men think they become more attractive after drinking alcohol

London, December 16(ANI): A third of men think they're more attractive when they drink alcohol - but most women feel the opposite, according to a new survey.

According to the findings from Cancer Research UK, 35 per cent of men rate themselves as more attractive after having a few pints, whereas just 13 per cent of women feel the same and two in five say they think their partner is less attractive after drinking, the Daily Mail reported.

Nearly a quarter of men even believe they are better in bed when they've been drinking, whereas nearly half of women say the opposite, the survey revealed.

In fact 42 per cent of women said they 'hate' it when their partner gets drunk.

Nearly a third of men also said they are more likely to get lucky when their nerves are fortified by alcohol, and fully 43 per cent believe that drinking helps them reach a peak of wittiness.

But once again, women's perception is rather different - 30 per cent flatly denied that their men became funnier when they drank.

Similarly, 40 per cent of men insist they are better dancers after a drink, while 37 per cent of women are adamant that alcohol does nothing to improve their partners' sense of rhythm.

The survey of 4,000 people was commissioned by Cancer Research UK to mark its new fundraising campaign Dryathlon, which calls on the nation to test its willpower by swearing off alcohol for January.

"We wanted to explore some of the myths we thought men held on to about how they appeared to the opposite sex after a drink or two," the paper quoted its spokesman Ed Aspel as saying.

"The fact that 42 per cent of all women hate it when their partners are drunk is a pretty good incentive to give Dryathlon a go and stay off the booze for a month.

"Not only might they have more luck with the ladies, they can do it in the knowledge that they're raising money for a good cause at the same time," he added. (ANI)
