Melbourne, July 8 (ANI): Former Australian player Mark Waugh has said that the Aussies must not drop any catches in crucial moments if they want to win back the Ashes, adding that the advantage of their bowling attack could be negated by poor fielding.
According to the Herald Sun, the former Test star thinks the current team is largely bereft of outstanding fieldsmen and that sloppiness of skill and attitude could prove costly in the crucial moments.
The report said that the cricketer had been one of the finest catchers the sport had seen and strongly believed in the Bob Simpson philosophy of laying importance on fielding to ensure a team's success.
Waugh also expressed some hope in the form of batsman David Warner who he said was a very good outfielder along with Michael Clarke being a good catcher. (ANI)
