London, July 13 (ANI): Manchester United star Ashley Young will appeal against a six-month driving ban he faced after racing his Range Rover at 100 mph along the M62 near Huddersfield in January.
According to the Daily Star, Young made an apology in an attempt to keep his driving license, along with telling the Wakefield Magistrates' Court that he knew what he did was not right and was endangering not just himself but also others on the road.
The star told the court that he deeply regretted what he had done and he was sorry, but being barred would make it difficult for him to see his partner and two young children in Hertfordshire.
The Manchester United player was also fined 1,000 pounds and was given a 100 pound victim surcharge along with costs of 85 pounds. (ANI)
