London, Jan 15(ANI): Manchester City midfielder David Silva has said they would keep fighting till the end to defend their Premier League title this season, and the Spaniard expressed hope Manchester United, who currently leads the table by seven points, falters and drops points just like last season.
Silva is hoping that history repeats itself this season also after United let slip an eight-point lead last season, the Sun reports.
Silva cautioned Man City that they can't afford to lose any more games and help United extend lead to ten points, adding with a lead of that proportion making a come back would become very difficult for the ruling English champions.
Silva said City needs to stay positive as the league is still there to be won, adding that Champions League's extra fixtures would be a distraction for United and that would certainly help their cause. (ANI)
