Washington, Oct. 12 (ANI): Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai, who has won praises worldwide for her seamless efforts towards education for all, visited United States President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at the White House.
President Obama said there are girls across the globe, who will one day lead nations, if only they are given the chance to choose their own destinies and the freedom to dream, Politico reports.
Malala survived an assassination attempt by a Taliban gunman on her school bus in October last year.
She received the European Union's Sakharov human rights prize on Thursday. (ANI)
