Mumbai: Delhi DareDevils might have lost their first two IPL games, but all-rounder Irfan Pathan feels once they start playing to their potential, they would be hard to beat.
"To be really honest, we have not played to our potential. If we start playing to our potential, we can beat many sides in this tournament," Irfan said on the eve of Delhi DareDevils' match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, on Tuesday.
"We made so many mistakes on the field… But the good thing is we came very close (to winning) despite making the mistakes. Once we start playing to our potential, we would be hard to beat," he said.
Irfan insisted that the DareDevils have enough time to get their act together. "You need to win at least 9-10 matches to qualify for the next stage. It's still a long way to go in the tournament and we are very positive and hopeful.
"Hopefully, we will qualify for the last four stage like we did last year. Hopefully, we will start winning from tomorrow. That's what we aim to do," he said.
Virender Sehwag, who missed the first two matches due to back spasms, practised with the team on Monday. However, Irfan was uncertain about the batsman's availability for Tuesday's game. (PTI)
