Lyon says 'moral winners' Oz desperate to get good start in Adelaide Test

Sydney, Nov 17(ANI): Off spinner Nathan Lyon has said Australia came out as moral winners from the first drawn Test match in Brisbane against South Africa, and added that they are desperate to get a good start in the second Test at Adelaide.

"We think we came out of that Test on top really. There was a couple of big blows that we landed," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Lyon, as saying.

"But in saying that, we have got to come out here on Thursday morning and start well, start a lot better than we did in Brisbane, and take that momentum ... to win this series and hopefully become No.1 Test nation in the world," he added.

Lyon, who took four wickets in the drawn first Test in Brisbane, also dared South African batsmen to continue to attack him.

"I had a fair idea that they were going to come quite hard at me, which they did. And I felt I was in the game, so I was quite happy that they came quite hard and it's a great challenge," Lyon said.

"I was quite happy with the way they came out the whole game, to be honest. I was creating chances and Pup (Australian captain Michael Clarke) was really happy with it," he added. (ANI)
