London, Jan. 8 (ANI): Elizabeth Hurley has leapt to the defence of her fiance Shane Warne, after he was handed a one-match ban in the Big Bash Twenty20 competition for fighting with West Indian Marlon Samuels.
The 47-year-old WAG posted a series of comments on Twitter, writing, "I think it's grossly unfair that @warne888 is banned from tomorrow's game!"
"And if Samuels hadn't grabbed Hussey by the shirt, @warne888 wouldn't have grabbed his. (Biased and defensive....moi?)," the Sun quoted Hurley as tweeting.
She then attempted to expand the conversation, tweeting Glenn McGrath and England's Michael Vaughan, as well with the posts: "@warne8 @glennmcgrath11 @MichaelVaughan Question:if players were banned for swearing during the Ashes, how many would be left on the field?"
Warne was fined 4500 dollars by Cricket Australia and handed a one-match ban for breaching Cricket Australia's code of behaviour, becoming the first player to be suspended from an Australian domestic Twenty20 league. (ANI)
