Hello, good evening and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates post for the Match No. 29 in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, between the struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This is Aditya Sahay, and I will be bringing you the live cricket scores and updates of the clash in which the home side, RCB, will be playing for nothing less than their pride. Coming of an abasing defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) — a game in which Royal Challengers Bangalore were shot out for IPL’s lowest total ever of 49 — the Virat Kohli-led team will be under tremendous pressure to resurrect their campaign. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), IPL 2017, Match 29
RCB suffered a humiliating loss to KKR by a massive margin of 82 runs, and languishing at the bottom of the IPL 2017 points table, the runners-up of the previous edition have failed to live up to the billing. Despite having some of the best T20 batsmen in their ranks, such as Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, RCB have had a torrid time this IPL. With 5 defeats in 7 matches so far, RCB have a poor Net Run Rate of -1.210. RCB will now have to ensure a complete turnaround if they have to strengthen their chance of making it to the next round.
On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have been blowing hot and cold but have still managed to remain in the top four of the IPL 10 points table. With 4 wins and 3 defeats in 7 matches, SRH are at the third spot. But the defending champions of IPL, who carry a lot of promise, will have to get their act together as they are yet to hit their peak.
In their last match, SRH were beaten by RPS with MS Dhoni hitting form. Even though both SRH as well as RCB are coming off defeats in their previous matches, the David Warner-led side can be described as the favourites for the clash on Tuesday night. SRH have a well-functioning batting unit led by Warner, and in Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan, they have two of the most dangerous bowlers in the ongoing IPL 2017. Bhuvneshwar, with as many as 16 wickets in 7 matches, has been able to maintain domination over the rest of the bowlers in IPL 10.
It also must be remembered that in the first game of this IPL, SRH had got the better of RCB courtesy a fine fifty from Yuvraj Singh.
