Bangladesh have a balanced side which is capable enough of thrashing Sri Lanka in their own den. The backbone of their batting is Tamim Iqbal, whose departure for a duck in the previous match affected team’s batting. In the middle-order, there are names like Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan who will be relied upon. Also, Mosaddek Hossain and Mahmudullah impressed in the previous match with their responsible batting down the order after Bangladesh stars collapsed. As far as the bowling is concerned, Mortaza will still be the driving force while Mehedi Hasan, if brought in for this match, will be interesting to watch.
Sri Lanka’s top order impressed with their performance in the previous match. Kusal Perera single-handedly scored the majority of the runs. They also have hard-hitters like Asela Gunaratne and Thisara Perera in the side. Sri Lanka’s bowling is led by an experienced Lasith Malinga. Vikum Sanjaya has also had a brief and impressive run so far. For spin, they have a dependable Seekkuge Prasanna.
