Lara Bingle talks about importance of bowel cancer test

Melbourne, June 20 (ANI): Lara Bingle has admitted that she's not taken a test for bowel cancer despite the fact that she has a family history of the disease.

Bingle, who is the Australian face of a bowel cancer awareness campaign, had lost her father, Graham Bingle, to the cancer in 2008, News.com.au reported.

The 25-year-old model, who was previously engaged to Australian cricketer Michael Clarke, said that it was rare for people her age to be diagnosed but it was important to be vigilant.

She said that she has been asking her brother to get scanned for a long time.

She was supporting Red Aussie Apple Day as part of Bowel Cancer Awareness month in Martin Place on Thursday. (ANI)
