Labrador Retriever crowned US' most popular dog for 22nd year in row

New York, Jan. 31 (ANI): Labrador Retriever beat out competition from German Shepherd to emerge as most popular dog in the US for the 22nd straight year, the American Kennel Club has announced.

According to the AKC top 10 list released on Wednesday, the Golden Retriever came at third place and the Beagle came in at fourth position, the New York Post reported.

AKC spokeswoman Lisa Peterson said that larger breeds dominated the "pint-sized, portable pooch."

The rest of the pack: Bulldog, Yorkshire Terrier, Boxer, Poodle, Rottweiler and Dachshund. (ANI)
