Ishika shines

lLocal girl Ishika Gupta bagged three titles in the AITA Championship Series meet at the Shambazar Club on Saturday. She won the under-12 and under-14 singles crowns as well as the under-14 doubles title, partnering Meghna Roy.

lThe pair of Vikash Kandoi and Sudipta Goswami scored 40 stableford points to win the Calcutta leg of the Audi Quattro Cup, at the RCGC, on Saturday. In the process, they qualified for the national final.

Amit Daga and Vikas Agarwal finished runners-up with a total of 37 points while the team of Rohan Ghosh and Avinash Agarwala ended up third with 35 points. Former Bengal cricketer Joydeep Mukherjee won the longest drive award on hole 15.

lAparup Chakraborty hogged the limelight in the Indoor Cricket Association of Bengal (ICAB) Awards on Saturday.

He bagged three awards, including the prestigious Rahul Dravid Lifetime Achievement Award and the ICAB Best Batsman of the season award.

He shared the other Mankad-Roy Award for highest partnerships in runs with Mohit Agarwal.

Ankur Jain won the best bowler award, while Mohit Agarwal clinched the all-rounder of the season award.
