Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar compared Samson’s knock to Mahela Jayawardene’s style of play during the game. Samson took this compliment as an honor and said “That is whole beauty of IPL. Legendary people comparing myself to another legend, I feel very lucky to be part of IPL and feel very lucky about it.”
Finally, Samson explained how working and playing with Dravid has affected him in IPL and more. “I think I was 17-18 when I was with Rajasthan Royals, and since then I have been working with him [Rahul Dravid], I feel very blessed to be with him and I think people normally don’t get these chances.
