In the last contest between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), Virat Kohli had scored an unbeaten 108 to chase down a colossal 192-run target. In fact, before match 17 of Indian Premier League (IPL), RPS had never beaten RCB in Indian Premier League (IPL). To make sure they finally taste victory, RPS got rid of Kohli for 28 in the pursuit of defending 162 on a slow and low track of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. After Kohli scored a four in the fourth over, there was no boundary until the 9th over. That was not it. RCB faced another draught for 6 more overs, summing their tale of defeat tonight. Kohli got it wrong at the toss. He elected to bowl citing it is a much better wicket. However, the track got ever slower as the match progressed and RPS bowlers used slower balls, knuckle balls, back-of-the-hand deliveries, and whatnot. In short, they made sure they alter pace as well as lengths, leaving RCB batters in confusion. That was the very difference between the two teams. Shane Watson, in the 19th over of first innings, conceded 19 runs. Rather than mixing up, he bowled full and allowed Manoj Tiwary collect 3 fours and a six off it.
