Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, on Friday came up with a match-winning performance for the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Glenn Maxwell’s Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), in Match 33 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali. Rashid was the most economical bowler in the match, with a figure of 1 for 16 in just four overs, which led him to the Man of the Match award, while Hyderabad won the tie by 26 runs. As Rashid won the Man of the Match award, during the post-match presentation ceremony, he said, “It’s a big league and it’s a big stage, playing with big names. So always trying my best to learn from them. We have a very good coaching staff. Murali has been superb so far with me and is supporting me and is giving me all his experience. I’m enjoying myself with him. The confidence and the motivation given from the coaching staff and the skipper helps. I would like to dedicate this award to my brother.
