Indo-Pak cricket series gets all-clear

India’s home ministry has cleared Pakistan’s tour of India in December-January, after a meeting between BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla and Union home secretary R.K Singh.

Pakistan will play three ODIs and two T20 internationals, in a tour spread over two weeks. Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad have been finalised as venues. The two nations last played a bilateral series in 2007.

After the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, India had abandoned cricketing ties with its neighbour, with contests restricted to international tournaments.
