Islamabad, Nov. 18 (ANI): Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan faced another ordeal for the second time in a row when the UK immigration authorities stopped him for intense scrutiny of his luggage and questioned him at length upon landing in the country.
Earlier in October, Khan was taken off a plane by the U.S. immigration in Canada, and was reportedly questioned on his stance regarding drone strikes- an incident that made headlines in the country. The latest incident, which took place in Manchester, however, appears to have been downplayed as there is not a single comment from party member, reports The News.
One party activist, however, confirmed the incident.
"He (Imran) was stopped, thoroughly searched and questioned by immigration. His luggage was checked in an insulting manner," said Hamid Yusufzai from Manchester.
Imran is presently in the UK to raise funds. (ANI)
