Hussey says spin great Muralidaran is real 'Mr Cricket'

Sydney, Feb 10 (ANI): Retired Australian batsman Michael Hussey has described Sri Lankan bowling legend Muthiah Muralidaran as the real Mr Cricket, and not himself.

Hussey said it is a real misconception that he is Mr Cricket, and he added he actually doesn't follow the stats at all, News.com.au reports.

Hussey added no one believes him, but he would not have a clue how many runs former teammate Matthew Hayden scored or at what average, adding he wouldn't even know how many runs Ricky Ponting scored, although he said he does know he scored 41 Test tons because they gave him 41 bottles of red wine after the former captain retired.

The former left-handed batsman claimed Chennai Super Kings teammate Muralidaran is the real Mr Cricket because he knows everything, adding the off-spinner does not stop talking about the game, as he loves it and even now he practises all the time. (ANI)
