Hussey says would need 'something special' to beat mighty Proteas in Perth Test

Sydney, Nov 29(ANI): Veteran Australian batsman Mike Hussey has claimed it's going to take something special to defeat South Africa in the third Test at the WACA Ground, starting Friday, to become the world's number one Test team.

South Africa's resolute effort to hold on for a draw in Adelaide by batting out the entire final day means the series is locked at 0-0 heading into the Perth decider.

Australia needs to win the series in order to leapfrog South Africa into the No.1 spot on the Test rankings.

However, Hussey concedes it will take an almighty effort to beat South Africa, who have not lost a Test this year.

"We tried absolutely everything to win that Test match (in Adelaide). It just shows South Africa are a great team," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hussey, as saying.

"They're the No.1 team in the world for a reason and it's going to take something special for us to knock them over here in Perth. I'm sure we can get the result if we keep the pressure on them," he added. (ANI)
