Harshvardhan has intensity of a lover: Mehra

Mumbai, Sep 24 (IANS) Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who is launching Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan with "Mirza Sahiba", says he chose the youngster as he fits the bill of an intensive lover and added that he is undergoing training right now.

"Harshvardhan is training for the film. There's one year of preparation before he comes in front of the camera," Mehra told IANS.

The movie is a musical penned by Gulzar, and it is based on a popular folklore. Leading lady for the film is yet to be locked.

Ask how Harshvardhan fits the role, Mehra said: "He has the intensity of a lover and he has the seriousness to play the role. He is a lovely performer."

When Akshay Kumar made khichdi

If he wants, he can really charm you. Akshay Kumar was at his best when he was shooting outside a temple for "Boss" in the capital. He ended up cooking a meal for a stall owner during a break.

"Akshay sir took rest in one of the stalls within the temple. When he was sitting there, he saw two young boys from the stall beginning to make lunch. He asked them what they were making and they said 'dal khichdi'. During the 40-minute break, Akshay made a delicious khichdi for the stall owner," a source from the production team said.

Directed by Anthony D'Souza, "Boss" also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari, Danny Denzongpa, Ronit Roy and Johnny Lever. It is set to release Oct 16.

Formal training important for actors: Vipin Sharma

An alumnus of the National School of Drama, Vipin Sharma feels that formal training in the craft is vital for every actor.

"If you have a dental problem, will you go to an untrained dentist? No, then why go for an untrained actor. Training is hugely important for an actor's career. There is something very intriguing about a trained actor," Vipin told IANS.

He added: "One can easily distinguish between a trained and an untrained actor. Training gives a depth to their performance, so I feel that every actor should undergo a formal training."

The actor has been a part of films like "Taare Zameen Par", "Jannat", and "Paan Singh Tomar".
