Guardiola wants to ply trade in 'fascinating' English Premier League in future

London, Jan 16(ANI): Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has made it clear he would like to manage a top Premier League club in future as he has always been fascinated by English football.

Guardiola, who is on a yearlong sabbatical from management, signaled he is ready to go head to head with former La Liga nemesis Jose Mourinho in the Premier League as he admitted he is eyeing a coaching job in England, the Daily Mirror reports.

The Spaniard has already said he plans to end his 12-month New York sabbatical this summer, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all linked with the 41-year-old.

24 hours after Mourinho revealed his enduring love for football in this country, Guardiola expressed similar sentiments over his desire to prove himself in English football.

Guardiola said as a player he could never realize his dream to play in England, but he now hopes in the future, he will have a challenge to be a coach or a manager in the Premier League so that he could feel the experience of all the coaches and players that have been there.

Guardiola added it is unique to play in the Premier League, adding he wants to feel the supporters, the environment, the media and the style of the players and everything.

Guardiola said he is just 41, therefore, he has lot of time with him to manage a club in England, as he has always found English football fascinating.

The former Catalan giants boss said English football club supporters back their teams even if they don't perform well, which is a great for the players, adding in other leagues the fans are not so kind. (ANI)
