Mumbai, Jan. 12 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (MIandB), Manish Tewari on Saturday said that the government is taking the issue very seriously and expressing its anger through all the diplomatic ways over the killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani Army.
Terming the incident inhuman, barbaric and violation of 'rules of engagement', Tewari said that the incident is in complete violation of the Geneva Convention, while addressing a press conference here.
"Government is doing everything at the strategic level to express its anger. We have said clearly that the incident is inhuman. Both Defence Minister and External Affairs Minister (MEA) have made it clear that India has taken the entire incident extremely seriously," said Tewari.
"The government is committed to take it to a rightful and logical conclusion through all the diplomatic channels. The Defence Minister has gone to an extent describing it a turning point," he said.
The tension between the two countries has aggravated after the brutal killing and beheading of the two Indian soldiers.
Pakistan has denied India's claim that its troops crossed the Line of Control to ambush a patrol party in the Mendhar sector in Poonch district on Tuesday this week.
The high commissioners of the two countries have been summoned by the respective governments throughout this week and served with demarches' to explain recent hostile developments in each other's territory and across. (ANI)
