Gazza fears 'no sympathy' if he dies from alcohol addiction

London, Sept 24 (ANI): England football legend Paul Gascoigne has said that he does not want to die from over usage of alcohol because he fears he would not get any sympathy for it.

According to the Mirror, the former football ace, who nearly died in rehab earlier this year, is in agony after falling off the wagon several times over the past few months.

He said that sometimes he goes through so much pain that he wants to die but does not want to die through alcohol over usage.

The dad of three can't explain why he turns to alcohol again after spending the past 17 years trying to stay sober, the report said.

In February Gazza's former teammates raised 100,000 pounds to send him to Cottonwood rehab clinic in Arizona, and he managed to stay sober for nearly four months afterwards, the report added.

However, in July he fell off the wagon was filmed downing a bottle of gin in an off licence, the report further said. (ANI)
