After the attack on CRPF soldiers in Chhattisgarh, Gautam Gambhir reacted on the incident stating concern about his countrymen. Gambhir, however, has always been vocal about social issues, expressing his views on Twitter. Gambhir took to Twitter urging for immediate action to be taken against the hideous crime. Gambhir sent out three tweets after the Maoist attack on Monday in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, where 25 CRPF soldiers died and five were severely injured. The attack is reportedly executed by about 300 Maoists on a team of 99 CRPF soldiers. The area is known to be affected by Maoists for a long time now, as over 200 security personnel have died since 2010.
Gambhir tweeted on Monday: “Chattisgarh, Kashmir, North East, do v need more alarm bells or r we a deaf state? Life of my countrymen isn’t cheap, someone needs 2 pay 4 it.” Earlier, Gambhir had tweeted after the Kashmir attack, stating, “For every slap on my army’s Jawan lay down at least a 100 jihadi lives. Whoever wants Azadi LEAVE NOW! Kashmir is ours. #kashmirbelongs2us.” He had later added, “Anti-Indians hav forgotten dat our flag also stands 4: saffron – fire of our anger, white – shroud for jihadis, green – hatred 4 terror.”
