Franklin says Kiwis eyeing 'unlikely' series win over Proteas following Paarl ODI win

Wellington, Jan 21(ANI): All rounder James Franklin has claimed New Zealand is now eyeing a one-day series win over South Africa following their gritty one-wicket win in the first match at Paarl on Saturday.

Franklin, who was the man of the match in the first ODI, claimed the Kiwis were not under any illusion that they have to perform at their very best to win the three-match series against the mighty Proteas, especially on their home turf, reports.

Franklin added a series win in the series would be tough but achievable for the Black Caps particularly after their spirited performance in the first game.

Especially if the wickets at Kimberley, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (NZ time), and Potchefstroom, three days later, play like the first one did at Paarl. Slow and abrasive by South African standards, it suited New Zealand's bowling attack, the paper said. (ANI)
