London, Nov 23(ANI): Former England spin bowler Shaun Udal has backed Graeme Swann to cause India plethora of problems in the remaining three Test matches of the series, as England look to draw level in the series in Mumbai.
Udal spun England to glory in the capital of Bollywood in 2006 and he's backing Swann, the undoubted star of the show, to do the same.
Udal took a match-winning 4-14 in 9.2 overs in the second innings to accelerate India's demise, bowled out for 100 and losing by 212 runs.
It was Udal's finest hour and England's only win in India in the last 28 years, and he believes there is no reason why history can't repeat itself now.
"It showed how quickly a game can move in India towards the back end and just because we're the visiting team it doesn't mean we have to be on the receiving end," the Daily Mirror quoted Udal, as saying.
"Mumbai has been a reliable turner for years and England have got high quality spinners of their own in Swanny and Monty Panesar, so if they can take the game deep, then they can have as big an impact," he added.
"Swanny's been brilliant for years now, so I doubt he needs much geeing up," he said. (ANI)
