'Five-star' Pietersen pays to get luxurious upgrade at Taj hotel in Mumbai

London, Nov 23(ANI): Kevin Pietersen has paid extra bucks for an upgrade for himself and wife Jessica in the luxurious Palace rooms of the iconic Taj Mahal Palace where the England team is based on the eve of the second Test match against India in Mumbai, whereas the other members of the team are staying in the other part of the hotel.

The England players and families as well as the Indian side have rooms in the modern Tower annexe of the iconic hotel overlooking the Gateway to India, the Daily Mail reports.

But although the five-star Tower accommodation is good enough for everyone else, including Mumbai's greatest Sachin Tendulkar, Pietersen paid for an upgrade to the even more lush Palace rooms that were restored to their former glory after the terrorist attack in 2008, the paper added. (ANI)
