Sydney, Jan 26(ANI): Legendary cricketer Shane Warne kept his Big Bash League (BBL) fielding woes behind him to grab a classic catch in the crowd during Andy Murray's semifinal win over Roger Federer in the semifinal of the Australian Open on Friday.
Warne, who was sitting courtside for the epic men's semi-final showdown, pulled off a very classy catch when Federer miscued against Andy Murray, sending the ball into the crowd during the fourth set, News.com.au reports.
To take the catch, the 43-year-old leaned over the barriers and plucked it from the air and afterwards the cricket superstar joked about the slick grab with mate and former St Kilda player Aaron Hamill while the home crowd cheered him on, the paper added.
Murray eventually beat Federer 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-7 (2-7) 6-2 in exactly four hours.
The Scotsman will play Novak Djokovic on Sunday night in the Australian Open final. (ANI)
