New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS) Ace designer Manish Malhotra promises that his grand finale show at the ongoing Delhi Couture Week (DCW) 2013 will live up to the 'grandness' of its name. His collection, to be showcased Sunday, is inspired by vintage architecture.
"The show is going to be lavish, grand, and glamorous and everything that we can expect a Manish Malhotra show to be. My collection is inspired by architecture, particularly from 1930s' era, when luxury was celebrated in the most refined form," Malhotra told IANS.
Malhotra, known for his exquisite designs and resplendent embroidery, is one of Bollywood's favourite designer and he has styled actresses Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
Asked about any Bollywood presence in his show, he said: "My show is about my garments and the creativity."
"A showstopper definitely adds more glamour, but I would always want my garments to be the star. I have had all my dear friends from Bollywood walk the ramp for me and love all of them," he said.
