Ex-MP finance minister Raghavji arrested for sodomy

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh's former finance minister Raghavji was on Tuesday arrested after he was accused of sodomy by his domestic help earlier.

The former minister had been untraceable since one day after he had to resigned since the allegations emerged.

The arrest came after the police gained possession of the CD incriminating Raghavji surfaced and it conducted a medical test of the domestic help.

Raghavji, 78, is the first minister in the history of the state, since it was created in 1956, to resign over a sex scandal.



The Madhya Pradesh finance minister quit following allegations of having unnatural sex with his servant who filed a complaint with the police.

Raj Kumar, a servant of Raghavji, submitted his complaint at the Habibganj police station on Friday. He claimed that for a long time Raghavji was having unnatural sex with him. He has also levelled similar charges against an official.

He claimed that a sex CD has also been made. (With inputs from agencies)
