Sydney, July 12 (ANI): Australian No.11 debutant Ashton Agar, who hit a brilliant 98 to rescue his team on Thursday, received sympathy for his failed maiden Test century from Twitter users in the UK.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, England fans began peppering their Tweets with 'gutted for Agar', which was in total contrast to the Ashes rivalry, soon after the young Australian was removed for 98.
After Agar's name had been broadcast repeatedly all over the world, the young star described the scenario as a potentially life-changing experience, the report said.
Agar said that it was a dream come true and to start the way he did in his debut had made him go over the moon.
The 19-year-old also offered a little apology to his parents for not reaching the three figures, the report added. (ANI)
