Delhi courts

New Delhi, Dec. 28 (PTI): Five special fast-track courts to deal with cases of sexual assault on women in Delhi will be set up by January 3, chief minister Sheila Dikshit said today.

The courts were proposed by the Delhi government in the wake of the outrage over the December 16 rape of a 23-year-old student in a bus.

Dikshit had last week sent the recommendation to Delhi High Court Chief Justice D. Murugesan with a request that the courts be set up immediately.
