David Hussey says 'still passionate' about playing first-class cricket despite 'recent axe'

Sydney, Nov 17 (ANI): Australian cricketer David Hussey has said that he does not know whether he will get another chance to play in Shield cricket or not, but the reason he signed up this year was because he was still passionate about playing first-class cricket.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Hussey revealed that he thought he still had a lot to give, not only with performances but he wants to help bring on the young kids like Michael Hill, Alex Keath and Peter Hanscomb, to help them become hardened first-class cricketers.

The ODI player further said that he was passionate about where the game of cricket was heading in Australia, and always wanted to leave the game in a better position than when he started, which makes him want to get involved.

Hussey's focus beyond this summer is building a new career, perhaps in coaching, perhaps in cricket operations, and being around for his wife Kristy and their two young children, the report said. (ANI)
