BCCI’s interim president Jagmohan Dalmiya has confirmed that India will be touring South Africa later this year. This statement puts to rest the speculation that the tour would be scrapped.
According to a NDTV report, Dalmiya has confirmed that the tour to the rainbow nation was indeed on.
It was earlier believed, that the tour would be done away with, after the BCCI invited the West Indies to tour India in November. India were supposed to play two T20s, seven ODIs, and three Test matches in South Africa starting November 21, 2013.
The West Indies Cricket Board have confirmed that they would play two Tests and three ODIs in November, dates and venues for which are yet to be decided. With this schedule in place, it is unlikely that the tour of South Africa can only start in December.
